davinci does not bark incessantly, and it’s not a yappy bark, it’s very specific to what he wants or if he’s just yelling at his brother. two boys are very diff than a boy and a girl, i might not do that again. you can see thought bubbles over his head when he’s barking with what he is attempting to say, it’s not mindless barking by any means. and even the bark/whine is very expressive. no less annoying however!
I count myself lucky that Buffy is such a sweet dog. I just love her. She is gentle and does obey a smattering of commands...the important ones like “come” and “leave it”. Wouldn’t want to upset the balance and get another dog. LOL...especially after hearing of your stubborn boy.
