American journalists need to take a staid approach to what is really happening in the face of callous cluelessness.

I’m late, I’m late, for this important date
detention for me- my homework is coming wadded and wrinkled
the goats ate my paper whilst I was waiting for the bus.

Anyway, here’s a stab at “staid”.

Queen Victoria, a staid woman
ruled England for 63 years
Queenie said, “The important thing is not what they think of me but what I think of them.”

To defend the Faith, we must be staid
And not become further dismayed
With our fervent prayer
We are in the Lord’s care
And He’ll deal with ‘Roe-vs-Wade’...
