The glue dentists use is a version of the secretion that barnacles use to attach themselves to boat hulls.

Should you have this dental problem on a Friday night in future, simply have your friends secure you by the feet and lower you head first into the nearest clean salt water. Keep your mouth open, and have friends from part (a) hoist you out every 15 minutes or so until a barnacle repairs the damage. If, as I do, you prefer mussels to barnacles, simply gargle with a white wine, butter and garlic sauce before the treatment.
