I read something yesterday about this that said it was caught about 200 feet down. They’re not sure why it was so shallow. Maybe it was in the middle of evolving?
I had guessed that they must have caught it either by line or by net at a much shallower depth. I just couldn't resist remarking on the idea that they caught it at 4000' with a fishing reel and line.
