Just heard this news and have begun asking God for her complete recovery and that His Name be glorified in her.

We are seeing continued slow progress. She is sedated and on the ventilator. Gradually dialing back on both carefully. She does show some awareness, but we have to be careful to not over stimulate her. There is a steady stream from the parish sitting bedside, praying, singing, loving.
It’s quite the sight. She has told me over the years that almost everyone, if presented the opportunity, will try to do good. And she has tried to tell me that it is possible for suffering to redound for the glory of God.
She is right, of course.
Still not out of the woods. Pray. Pray. Pray.
