Gathering up a pile of Will Power to send to Mrs. Don-o.
***
ZOT! There it is!
She is in my rosary every day and I will continue, I miss her wit and knowledge. I pray for you too!!
Was able to sit in a chair for maybe two hours. Looking forward to another day of regaining health and strength. The staff at the Med Center is pretty amazed at her. Thanks for the notes of support. I hope to let her see them today.
Glory to God for all things.
I hope to find certain obstreperous children displaying less Will Power today, since I passed it on to Mrs. Don-o. One can hope ...
Best wishes for another day of substantial improvement. God is good all the time!
May the Lord keep restoring her health and her wit!
We miss you, Mrs. Don-o!
While I was away, someone from the parish brought her a Pabst (good selection for a German Catholic, eh?) The nurse called the doctor and got his permission.
Said it felt good in her tummy and made her happy; which makes me happy.
LOL!
Beer is full of good organic compounds.
This prayer is on a card I found with my music pages this morning:
O our Lady of Guadalupe, mystical rose, make intercession for Holy Church, protect the Sovereign Pontiff, help all those who invoke thee in their necessities, and since thou art the ever Virgin Mary and Mother of the true God, obtain for us from thy most holy Son the grace of keeping our faith, sweet hope in the midst of the bitterness of life, burning charity, and the precious gift of final perseverance.
The funny thing was that when the nurse call the doctor for permission, he said he did not think that Catholics were supposed to drink beer.
LOL!
Good reports from both kidney and pulmonary this morning. Next step - get her on her feet and moving on her own steam. Pray!
I did pray. A whole Rosary on that danged elliptical machine. Hate that machine.
WOW!
I’m so HAPPY to hear about THIS!!!
God bless and keep you both.
Continous prayers.
PABST went through A-OK!
Thank you, Lord!
Praying!
So very happy to hear Mrs. Don-o is doing well!
Please let her know how much she is missed here.
Prayers continuing!!
Bttt.
Word is that we will be moving to skilled nursing / rehab soon; but have no timeline. They Still need a couple of benchmarks - normal kidney function (numbers ARE trending right) and clearance from speech therapy that her swallow is 100% so she can take thin liquids (which she is not allowed.) Everything - tea, milk, coffee has to be thickened.
Her appetite is slowly improving as is her movement in her legs. I am a bit dissatisfied with the amount of physical therapy she is getting here. Esp, since the move to rehab is still indefinite. But patience must rule the day. This I know.
Bringing my laptop in now and she may be looking at the thread later. She did send an email to some of her 40 Days for Life friends.
I will close with - Would all who read this consider participating in 40 Days for Life this year?
I hope the move occurs before your patience runs out!
We are told we will be moved by 6:30 this evening. And she has eaten her biggest meal so far. And we got the loan of a laptop.
Soon as I get her a wireless mouse, she may be able to start posting.
Good luck! We will all be thrilled to have Mrs. Don-o back online. Not that you’re chopped liver, but it’s not the same ...
