Lindsey Vonn has tied a 35-year-old record for most World Cup wins after winning a downhill Sunday.
Sundays tie was all the sweeter after Lindsey Vonns comeback from two serious knee injuries to match Annemarie Moser-Proells record of 62 World Cup wins.
Sundays win in Cortina was her third downhill win this season and the eighth of her career.
Lindsey Vonns wins include 32 downhills, 20 super-Gs, three giant slaloms, two slaloms and five combined races.
...
Other wins that are not included in World Cup stats include a gold medal in downhill at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics and well as gold medals in downhill and super-G at the 2009 worlds in Val dIsere.

So I take it that she slides down hills on boards?
Lost all respect for her when she started dating Tiger Woods.
Nice speed suit
Not guilty (and Tiger was already divorced, anyhow).
Tiger still negates all the positives.
She looks like one of the Bush daughters, in the face at least. I know. I know. Who is looking at her face?
She seems to have learned a thing or two about golf stories.
I thought her last crash tore he knee all to heck and put an end to her racing?? A year or two ago and Tiger sent his jet to Europe to pick her up after the injury to bring her back to the states.
Lots a love for Lindsey, but my fave skier of all time was Picabo Street. Little known fact, but she was injured so frequently her local hospital named it’s critical care unit for her: the Picabo ICU!
Glad to hear that her broken leg didn’t affect her abilities.
Apparently, the doctors did a good jobs rebuilding the damage.
and Lindsey Vonn just won a super-G Monday for her record 63rd World Cup victory .
Perhaps more importantly, the win showed Vonn is dominating again just weeks before her home world championships in Vail and Beaver Creek, Colorado.

Two years later almost to the day and 15 more World Cup wins, I thought I would resurrect this thread. Last week Lindsey won her 77th World Cup race in her second appearance after recovering from yet another injury, this time a broken arm.
I don't know how she does it, how she stays focused and motivated to continue racing after all the serious injuries she's had to recover from. As far as I'm concerned, she's the greatest racer of all time....
