This is the same outstanding ground support aircraft that the head of the Air Force is going to eliminate over the next five years. Yea for her. /s

The A-10 is the only airplane in our arsenal that was specifically designed for a role in support of ground troops.

The fighter jocks who run the Air Force have been making fun of it for years and advocating its demise. But in every war or military effort we’ve had since it came on line, it is loved by the troops on the ground because it can hang around for hours and give them a lot of fire support.
