Ford did it. They actually went and did it. It's been rumored about and speculated on for months, but now we know it's real.
This is it: the new Ford GT. Ford just dropped a bomb on the rest of the world, and it's got a twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, if you can believe it.

Looks like Ford is carpet bombing the NAIAS this year.I was kinda geeked to hear of the "Bolt" unveiling, but ya they are stealing everyone's thunder. I saw a picture of Stabenow, Peters, and Mrs Dingell with the GM CEO... Now compare that to this...

3 cylinder engine plus electric motor up front. $136,000 and she’s yours. About 112mpg and 350 combined horsepower, IIRC.

The big air channel between the rear wheels and the main body is quite interesting.

Yep. That’s why it will most likely remain a dream.

Barret-Jackson is selling CARROLL SHELBY's 1966 COBRA 427 "SUPER SNAKE" at auction this week. Not much more American, or rare than this iconic car.

With the right crank timing a V6 can sound darned good.

It brought $5.5 million when it was sold in 2007.
Do you think it’ll bring $10 million this time?

I wish they’d gone with the 5.2L flat-plane V8 from the upcoming Mustang GT350 instead of the EcoBoost.

The successor to Ford's famed line of GT models most recently produced in the mid-aughts the latest GT uses a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 making over 600 horsepower. Designed to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the car will go into production late next year.
Le Mans? That would be exciting!

Now there is a faint, semi-transparent image of this car on the lower left quadrant of my computer screen. Not only that, but it’s still there when I switch threads, and even when I go to a different site altogether. Nothing like this has ever happened before. I hope it goes away when I power down.
