Is this a sign of deflation and recession?
I was at the McDonalds and got a breakfast sandwich. With my receipt they give me a slickly put together 4" x 4" paper that says Big Mac and Quarter Pounder for $2 from January 12th to January 28th. Is Mickey Dee's clearing out stale hamburger inventory? Are they trying to drum up business? They always seem to hold the line on their two top selling hamburgers at $3.99. Now they are going for half price. For a limited time only of course
I remember it as:
Mcdonald’s is my kind of place,
They serve hamburgers in your face
French fries up your nose
Milkshakes between your toes
Last time that I went there
They stole my underwear
Mcdonald’s is my kind of place
(not any more)
Parts is parts.
I remember the 15 cent burgers and 10 cent fries there when I was a kid.
Eating here was my reward when I was a young teen. My father used me as slave labor to caulk the bottom of his ol Chris Craft Cruiser which was needed every two years. We ate here when we were finished. McDonalds was a very new operation and there was none where we lived but there was one where his boat was docked.
And it was 15 cents same as the sign
Not to mention the 17¢ tacos @ Taco Bell and a few years later, the big beef burritos with green sauce for a buck, those were so good and so gone, since the ‘90s.
Just trying to lure folks in and bolster business. I remember buying Bic Macs for 39 cents with no discount...back in the days when the TV ads extolled a burger/fries/drink for under a dollar.
I’m not sure, just grabbed it with a image search.
