We had a vet here that was running “50’s Fridays” where a spay or neuter for cats/dogs up to 15 pounds was $50. I took advantage with our new puppy. I got that heebie jeebie feeling, but told myself it was because the puppy was scared. 2 weeks later the news said the place was closed down because the vet was using the same needles and instruments 5 or 6 times w/o replacing or resanitizing them. We were lucky our puppy was okay, but it ripped my guts out to hear that news story & wonder what our puppy suffered.
I’m so sorry that this happened to you. I just told you our story to let you know you aren’t alone. I felt the same as you did and left our puppy anyway. Please know you’re not alone.

Oh, my. Thankfully, your puppy is ok. This low cost place is run by volunteer vets so I need to get names so we’ll never use them. We’ve had our regular vet forever and the only time we had problems was when he was on vacation and another vet wouldn’t do anything for our dog so she died. That was a dozen years ago and I still cry over missing her. It’s our fault for not sticking with our good vet.
