I just googled the list of best anthems from the Village Voice...on it are acts like Pat Benetar, Foreigner, Journey and REO Speedwagon.

Now those are the kind of songs I expect when I think "arena anthems". Songs that will get a crowd pumped up and cheering. But the Seahawks were introduced with "Bittersweet Symphony" at this year's Super Bowl, lol. Maybe a Sam Smith ballad is as much excitement as we can handle these days.
