As usual, there are some contests we haven't seen before and others we've already seen too much of (talking to you Shi).
I guess they couldn't find a Latino guy to obtain the all around pc perfect group. And the option for the women seems to be Black or Blonde; those two brunettes that we hardly know...just filler.
Yeah, there are some obvious ballast in this bunch, lol. That granola girl we've never seen before is my pick.
This might not be the strongest choice for Superbad.
Superbad is up first with Twisted Sister's "I Wanna Rock". It's okay. Energetic, if nothing else.
Jlo: Very contagious.
Harry: That embodies what rock and roll is all about.
Keith: I just love it when you do those heartaching ballads, Adam. Brings a tear to my eye.
Now I'm wondering if Superbad isn't on speed. Won't shut-up.
I stand corrected. This isn’t live. Recorded live, but edited for time. Everything’s compressed.
Harry: I would caution you to stay in tune.
Jlo: I liked the feeling of the whole thing. I really enjoyed it.
Keith: I loved it. I thought the performance was really good. I think we're going to hear a lot from you.
Savion = filler.
Who?
I was typing something else while he was singing and barely noticed.
Harry: We all know how talented you are. Started a little unfocused.
Jlo: Keep you're eye on that camera. You have the most beautiful smile. Touch hearts at home as well.
Keith: Pick songs that play to your strengths.
Now I enjoyed this. The Band's "The Weight".
Keith: Really good.
Harry: Perfect song choice.
Jlo: Your vibe is so right now. You really have a shot at this.
Again, typing while he sings. I didn't miss anything.
Keith: I think the song got on top of you.
Jlo: This was an "okay" day.
Harry: Vocal wasn't as good as the performance.
Sings "When A Man Loves A Woman". Now that was really good.
Jlo: Goosies all day!
Harry: You're extremely talented. Nice job.
Keith: Nashville representin'. That was killer.
I was expecting to ignore this too. But he's actually good. Smokey Robinson kinda voice.
Harry: Harkens back to some of the classic Motown singers.
Jlo: I could a little more attitude. You smiled through the whole thing. Can't forget what you're singing about.
Keith: (liked it)
Talk about smiling through the whole song. But it doesn't matter. Jlo making a "I want to take you home and keep you in my play room" face.
Keith: Cool. Good song for you.
Jlo: Make sure you're consistent. You're a word beyond adorable. I don't know what that word is.
Harry: I feel sorry for America on this one. Great talent up here.
Sounds like he's out of breath. Maybe it's nerves. A neighbor's dog howls. I don't think it's a coincidence.
Jlo: Sweet with a little bit of edge.
Harry: You remind me so much of Keith that I'm gonna have to start calling you Keith Suburban.
Keith: Great song choice.
What is this crap>
It's like Buckwheat mated with Cousin It. His presentation is a bit odd, but his voice is very smooth.
The ladies swoon, Jlo among them.
Harry: I really hope America gives you a chance. I real artist that makes great choices.
Jlo: Drama, dynamics, emotional. Great performance.
Keith: You haven't even made a record yet, but that was like a Grammy performance.
Honestly, I wasn't paying attention. It sounded okay. Judges seemed to like it. Beyond that, I don't know.
Bringing the funk! I really like this! Qaasim has some James Brown moves. Unlike several performances tonight, he had my undivided attention. Excellent.
Jlo: You make me want to get up there and sing and dance with you. You are so my type of performer.
Harry: We ask you to give it everything you have. That's exactly what you did.
Keith: This is about making an impression, having charisma. You killed it!
