Might want to change the name from a party that disappeared because of its gutlessness.

Naw. I like the irony, of being named for a party that died because it was gutless, but emerging again shaped by bravery and conviction.

Irony is so ironic.

A better one, even though it disappeared as well, at least had a cool name ...

A friend of mine, “Sam”, from when I was in the USAF, oh, about sixty years ago or so, was pretty much a believer in Barry Goldwater in 1964, and was bitterly disappointed that not only Goldwater lost, but lost by such a large margin. “Sam” declared himself a nation of one, and pretty much dropped out of even any discussion of the politics of the matter. The Republic of “Sam” has only one leader, re-elected by the overwhelming majority of one over and over, and with very strict limits on immigration, there has been no successful challenge to the administration since the nation was founded. The Nation of “Sam” has had no foreign entanglements, has engaged in no wars, and never has a budget problem, as there has never been any foreign debt incurred, and never a deficit budget passed.

Last I heard of “Sam”, he was still an independent nation, and living in pleasant obscurity somewhere west of the Mississippi River.
