I'm not taking up for Scott on this issue; to be honest, I didn't really read all the way through it because to me, this is pretty weak. Many people attempt to rescue dogs and many times, it isn't a good fit. I had it happen to me; a dog I was assured was child friendly turned out to be anything but. I took him back so he could be placed with someone without children.
The bottom line is that with all the problems we face in politics, is this a legitimate reason to determine someone isn't a worthy political candidate? While Scott may have used the dog as a campaign prop, Orange Charlie used his 'wife' as one. Additionally, Scott didn't play musical chairs with his political party in an attempt to win an election.
If a non-story dog story is all they can come up with to attack Walker that’s pretty lame, even more lame is the number of freepers helping promote it. Taking in an adult dog from a shelter is a noble cause but it’s also a crap shoot, if they don’t work out send them back maybe someone else has a more suitable environment.
