Who the h*ll is paying for all these LEOs from around the country to attend this funeral. I realize these guys want to have a blue brotherhood, but not at the taxpayer expense. I’m going to have the local auditor look into this to see if any local police are using taxpayer money to attend.
Unless an officer is sent as an official honor-guard, they pay their own way, same as any other citizen traveling for private reasons.
Their local PD's and it's customary on a state level. The same goes with fire departments when one loses men on the job.
In this case, due to the high profile, it's clearly a message of solidarity.......
You don't have to call no auditor, just the local PD's and ask them straight up why they, in your opinion, wasted their money.......
I can guarantee they are there on the taxpayers dime....
