That’s what I was thinking, what is with liberals trying to label someone something that they’re not-especially because the parents rightly recognize that this young man (and his suicide IS tragic) is a man not a young lady.

One of the comments at the Mail talks about the need to wait until age 25 before deciding to change genders because that’s when puberty is officially over. Prior to that, one would think, surgery of this type should be totally illegal and most certainly not covered by any insurance.
After that, if people are that crazy, let them pay for it themselves.
And also…if a twenty-six year old or a seventy-six year old wants to chop of his arm and sew it to his nose….it’s his business. Or her business. Whatever. But no Obamacare or medicare insurance should cover that either.

I had a son who decided at a young age that he was a puppy. That’s a fun game for a few hours, one that I’m sure many parents have dealt with, but it lasted more than a day. Rather than getting him a collar and a doggy dish and being completely supportive of a permanent identity change, perhaps even demanding that others call my son “Spot”, I got the other kids ice cream. “Puppies don’t eat ice cream, you know.” It only took a little over an hour of things puppies don’t do before we heard the last doggie whimper and my son decided he’d rather be a boy.
These parents were good parents and good people doing their best. Thanks to the evil of liberals who enable mental illness, the parents were unable to save their child, but the blame falls squarely on the far left, not on decent parents who refuse to reinforce their son’s delusions. I don’t want to imagine how difficult raising my child would have been for me if a liberal “Animal Rights” activist had stepped in to interfere with my parenting at the wrong moment.
