The relationship between these two seems normal and healthy, and loving.
This is a captured moment in a young child’s life, the dog is not at risk, or being harmed, or abused.
You can relax now.
Dismissal is not refutation; when you can respond to my actual points, please let me know.
Dont confuse a dogs tolerance of a childs bad behavior with a dogs love for a child who treats it well.
Dogs may permit a child to take food from their bowl, pull ears, stand or ride on them, hug them, hit them or kick themthat does not imply that these behaviors are okay, simply that the dog is waiting for the human parent to correct the erring pup who is clearly ignorant of appropriate canine behavior; the same way that a houseguest may ignore a childs rudeness with the expectation that the parents will correct the child.
They all ASSUME that she did not tell Trig after she took the picture that you shouldn’t stand on the dog. Have they never laughed at a kid being naughty and then told them why they should not do it again? Not everything requires execution. Plus it’s his service dog! Sarah said she missed Trig’s sign for up. He’s their youngest child. He has Downs. I think the picture is funny. Everyone needs to relax the dog is fine!
