I would love to. Buy me a ticket. Thanks to WiFi and cell service, I can keep up with this thread too!
First class please. I deserve the best.
I’m very sorry as I feel my post must be confusing. I am also a Christian and was just trying to figure out why people (not you) were attacking Sarah Palin over something as harmless as this. I was speculating that they don’t like those who truly love God . Post wasn’t directed at you. Sorry again Happy New Year.
Thats what the nurse looked like when writing the birth certificate for Laqueshia ;)
Hold the phone!!!
Thats a pic of a dog with his ears cropped. Now I want to hear the hand wringers explode in righteous indignation how someone hacked up a dog with a knife for purely aesthetic reasons.
Because THAT IS traumatizing the animal and that IS painful.
So lets hear it pearl clutchers.
You forgot the tail, the tail is docked.
I was waiting until the first person spazzed. I have no issue with it. I’m not a fan of it, but I’m not about to go into the vapors because millions of dogs seem to deal just fine.
Not big on Cat declawing eithar, but same as above.
I don’t think Palin’s son should be standing on the family dog, but I also think the rebuke of Palin has little to do with the dog’s best interest and more about trying to harm Palin’s public appeal.
You don’t let kids stand on dogs...it’s just common sense. As far as it’s none of our business Sarah is responsible for posting the pic.
Correct...on all points.
The cookbook episode, classic!
Better then for boy and dog to never meet?
Tragedy can befall the most innocent and sometimes does. Were that to control us we would be joyless.
Better a boy and his dog share joy even if it ends in sadness.
That dog is happy, not upset or bothered in the least. Just the latest fake kerfuffle aimed at Sarah Palin, out of quite a few.
A child should have a dog but not stand on it. Why is this even a debate?
What did Vermont say that got removed?
>Every time a bell rings, Trig steps on a pet.
And every time you go to the bathroom, you lose IQ points. Having said that, Palin is not a evil person. If she thought there was risk to the dog, she would have prevented Trig from going on top of it. Still, I would like her to tell him not to do it again, just to be on the safe side.
Agree. It's a rare moment of poor judgment on Sarah's part.
Yep. It’s a wonder that this is controversial.

So a boy climbs on a dog's back, a breed of dog well known for hip problems (and sometimes spinal injuries), but a parent doing what is in his or her power to prevent an avoidable tragedy is acting in a manner automatically antithetical to the admirable goal of letting a "boy and his dog share joy"
You seem to suppose that a boy's ignorant treatment of a dog is not automatically diametrically opposed to the assurance of a "boy and his dog [sharing] joy."
To put it one way:
"Only ignorance! only ignorance! how can you talk about only ignorance? Don't you know that it is the worst thing in the world, next to wickedness?and which does the most mischief heaven only knows. If people can say, 'Oh! I did not know, I did not mean any harm,' they think it is all right." --Anna Sewell
I respectfully submit that a boy and his dog can share joy without the boy causing the dog harm, or pain, even unintentionally, ignorantly, when the boy and his dog are properly taught how to enjoy one another without causing the other harm.
