This does not surprise me.
In fact, with all the breast cancer with my sister and so on, I’ve heard more and more that heredity is not actually a big factor.
But we are still asked all the time.

People can will themselves into Cancer and die. Happens all the time to survivors.
They just give up and don't want to live anymore. It happened to my B-In-law
when he lost his brother. Dead of cancer within a year at age 23.
