Typically those flags will not be thrown if the defender is going for the ball (as he should). This defender was facing the receiver.

I didn’t mean to come across as a crass poster ordering folks around... technology is here to stay, and it can help settle confusion on the field, just as a review of the subject play revealed.

Just as technology gives us a yellow line across the playing field representing the first down yardage marker, and a blue line represents the line of scrimmage yardage marker... a vertical line or screen could represent the out of bonds perimeter, or end zone boundaries. Just saying...

I would like to see a horizontal bar attached to the top of the vertical field goal posts, representing a pseudo strike zone.
