I didn't see anything in the article that said whether the firearm was a semi-auto or a revolver. I could see where the kid could have been tugging on a set of car keys on a keyring, and snagged them on the trigger of either type weapon.Every revolver that I have handled has a relatively heavy, double action trigger pull (as compared to a semi-auto) that takes more than a "tug" to go bang.
I agree. Just thinking out loud that it could be a possibility.
