As it happens, immediately following three of the several Glock accidental discharges I've observed, the shooter said, "But..but...but, I never keep a round in the chamber."
Which is why I check my glock every time I pick it up or put it down.
EVERY GUN should be treated as if its loaded. You should not trust a safety.
Pretty basic gun safety.
