I keep around 30 laying hens at all times. Adding a rooster will keep the flock going as well as provide some tasty six month old cockerels. Three water sources stocked with fish nearby. Plenty of doves and feral pigs from the fields will make a fine meal as needed. Three thousand square feet of fertile gardening area. Three apple trees, one lemon tree, one plum tree, six pecan trees and concord grape vines that all produce fruit.
I have been prepping for over six years now. It has been a lot of work but well worth the effort.

But if, say, six nukes hit us—what isn’t killed in the main and outer impact zones, is still contaminated with the fallout as it is carried via the jetstream and other windstreams? Despite how just about every story/movie/novel about a nuclear attack on the United States paints it as small groups of people in rural areas surviving, that the fallout doesn’t reach everywhere, it isn’t going to be that bad, etc.—those that remain breathing after something like this happens, will regret having not just seen a blinding white flash near ground zero and then the face of the Lord Jesus. Life cannot exist in such a horrific environment, and whatever still does will cease to exist in a very short period of time.
