Recently, an old friend asked Camille Cosby how she was holding up. The comedian’s wife, married 51 years, was silent for a moment.
“You know, everyone has their limits,” she confided.
But the glimpse into her pain was fleeting, and Mrs. Bill Cosby was instantly back in the character of the loyal defender.
“I think his problem is that he’s far too trusting and he lets things go too far and people can get the wrong idea,” the 69-year-old said.
Friends talked to The Post last week about the marriage of Bill and Camille, and why she has not lost faith in her husband, despite the more than two dozen women who have come forward to allege that he sexually assaulted them.

Remember that French Banker who was accused of raping the African maid in that New York Apt. Dominique Strauss Kahn was his name. His wife stuck by him too for a long time, then over the next two years, they split. This may or may not happen with the Cosbys. My guess is Bill’s wife fully knows what has been his lifestyle for decades, and she is fine with it, so long as she is provided for and maintained at a high standard of living.
So the priest that married them thinks all of the women are lying.
I guess he thinks that Bill should not have already settled out of court for his 2004 drugging and rape.
Possibly, but those “deals” usually include of caviat of being “discrete” which both finally cross after awhile.
Then come recriminations and divorce.
She’s just too old period.
I would say it’s her bad luck she would have to divorce in MA. Much better in CA. She was with him a long time ... From the beginning. In CA! the settlement would have been generous.
Having said that ... I say never give up, you’re never too old! Leave Bill, he’d be miserable!

I try to keep in mind that she married Cosby at an extremely young age. She may be very religious, that doesn’t allow for divorce. They have 5 children together, one of which they buried together.
Maybe she knows a side of him that was good and kind. Maybe she didn’t get exposed to all of the craziness of Hollywierd.
I really think the woman is probably Cosby’s “rock”. She doesn’t want to destroy him (that has already happened) or her family by walking out. jmho

Good point. I understand they are active in the Catholic Church. And I think it would destroy him.
It is called honoring the vow you made before Almighty God. There is also something to be said for the presumption of innocence — one of the principles upon which our country was founded.

I just looked at the Mass. divorce laws. Although it isn’t a community property state...I don’t think she would starve to death by any means.
