Bingo! It is all about power and $. Sometimes the vehicle to power for the righteous is right in front of us and we don’t see it. I can’t believe it hit me today and G Larry as well. It is kind of like when Scott Brown ran, no one got that he was the 60th vote. ( They still screwed us, but that is a different story ).

It would take 4 Republicans to switch sides for the Dems to take control back. Collins, Morkowski, McCain, and ??????.

Biden does not get to vote in a Republican leadership vote, any more than Bernie Sanders does. He can break ties of the full Senate, but leadership is decided by the party members themselves. McConnell is a pretty good strategist and parliamentarian, but a lousy communicator. I think you have to live with him for the next two years, at least.

We don’t even need to get 7 people to vote for Cruz. We just need 7 people to not vote for Mitch. If nobody has the votes, then they have to negotiate, which is a defeat for the establishment.
To: Boogieman
Why 7? Won’t the leader need 28 votes?

I guess that is my question. 22 Senators supported Cruz last week. 6 of the incoming freshman are strong Tea Party. That makes 28 conservatives who will decide the new leader.

I think you fail to grasp the severity of what will happen to this country if the leftward drift in this country is not reversed, immediately. His only value as a "strategist", is to ensure that the left gets exactly what they want, and "living with him" for two more years means the death of this country, or, at least, the death of what this country was created to be.

Even just a couple switching would make things more difficult, not that the GOP has any intention of being difficult for Obama, mind you. But Ayotte could be a dark horse fourth to add to that list. She already showed how dumb she is with her complaints about missing the Nutcracker because she had to, you know, do what the voters sent her to office to do.
