Today the Longshore Union would sue the for a few hundred million dollars.
Not to mention the EPA would fine them several thousands of dollars per tea bag.
Not to mention the Sierra Club, Audubon Society, Greenpeace, etc, for “polluting” the bay.
And the civil rights group would be suing because the protestors dressed as natives, thus portraying the noble savages in an unflattering stereotypical manner.
Speaking of where we are today. Consider, in today’s PC, victimhood, class warfare, nanny state if old innovations had not come when they did:
Can you imagine how automobiles and road rules, not to mention permissions would be regulated by gubmnt if the automobile were invented in today’s culture? You would have to go to college and get a degree to operate an automobile. Then only certain people would be permitted to drive. Log books would be required and maintenance schedules kept as part of your license.
Aspirin would be by prescription only.
Internet access would be by permission of the FED only and we would all be paying a fee. Websites would be by permission. Content would be regulated and rules would be never ending.
And Native American Civil Rights groups would be howling about the use of the feathers and the warpaint.
