Star players have always gotten preferential treatment from officials, happens in every sport, regardless of the team those players play for at the time. It’s not right, I don’t like it, but it’s just the human nature of the refs (who are very human) playing out. It’s not some conspiracy.

The tuck rule is a bullshit rule. The NFL has several bullshit rules, including the tuck rule, and the bullsh-t on whether to count the play or make them replay it on a false start penalty, and the worst of all: the “break the plane for a nano second” rule for a ball carrier outside the endzone versus the possession a receiver must maintain in the end zone.

Yeah, the NFL has lots of problems. They have written stupid rules that make officiating much harder than it should be. But everyone is making zillions of dollars - they’re not rigging anything for TV rating revenue. Thats just silly.

Sure, no one would EVER rig anything for money. I see now how silly that position is.
