Personally, IMHO, I’d not take any drugs so as to avoid problems of the drugs.

A sleep problem (due to a Prednisone prescription) got me put on amyltriptylene. Seeing a GP doctor later disclosed that taking amyltriptylene was also greatly reducing my "Restless Leg Syndrome" and "peripheral neuropathy" tingling. He said "stay the course" with amyltriptylene. (But advised there are better drugs than amyltriptylene today). Benedryl and a common "Sleeping Pill" (Ambien) just made me feel yucky. The minor side effects of amyltriptylene are worth such wholesale relief plus quick and sound sleep.

The death of my father this past June was well "tolerated"—another benefit.
