Here is a good example of how to not to police people, as seen at Friday's Pac-12 championship game. According to the video uploader, this confrontation started when the man in white walked down the wrong pathway. The situation then quickly escalated, for no clear reason. A lieutenant from the Santa Clara Police Department confirmed through email that the officers involved worked for the department.

Santa Clara cops are poorly trained and respond like a gang.
They prolly will charge the guy with 10 feloneys, for half hardheartedly defending himself.
Avoid those turkeys.

From my perspective it looks like the man in white is defensively raising his hands to ward-off blows.
It seems police are now instructed to say, "Stop fighting!" as the first words to leave their mouths when encountering people.
A bit more science and psychology needs to be introduced into law enforcement. Heck, my hands would likely reflexively be raised if someone was shoving me or swinging a nightstick...especially if I was not knowingly in commission of some violation or crime.

Jack, that day is not far off here in the US! And their guns will not save them once the $hit hits the fan! This old concept of allowing yourself to be “governed” is vanishing!

The “cigarette vendor” died because he had health issues that were aggravated when he resisted arrest; police had been called by merchants because he was harassing their customers.
I wouldn’t have fought with the cops; straighten it out legally rather than die on some pissed-stained sidewalk.

Heck, my hands would likely reflexively be raised if someone was shoving me or swinging a nightstick Good point. Nowadays we are seeing folks getting beaten by police (or even shot) for merely making a reflexive action.

The slaves are not allowed to resist the masters. Even with reflexive moves. They are required, upon pain of death, to remain stoic and receive whatever punishment the master metes out. It was in the America of yesterday that the Citizens had rights and responsibilities.

You can say what you want but he was on the wrong pathway. THE WRONG PATHWAY. Clearly a capital crime
