“We stayed at the Luxor because they had $50 rooms...The rest of us are livestock.”
No offense but this is ridiculous. You get what you pay for, not just in Vegas. 50 bucks won’t get you a decent motel in a podunk town.
1. The entire BUILDING reeked of cigarette smoke and everybody was a puffer in there, which I didn't think was even legal anymore (this was 2009). I wanted a refund on the basis of my health. The bored guy behind the counter told me he couldn't do it, I never should've got a reservation there (couldn't agree with him more), and that I'm free to take it up with my lawyer.
2. It took 90 minutes to even get to the front counter, and I already had a damn room reservation. All he needed to do was check my credit card, ID, and hand me a key. Three little old ladies could've run the place faster.
3. The people at the airport were rude. The guy at the car rental place was rude, I was 3rd in line and it took me half an hour to get out of there.
4. EVERYWHERE you go in Vegas: if you're not dropping a million dollars in the place and have a host in tow, you're livestock. I'm serious, I've dealt with nicer tow companies and loan sharks pawn shops.
Opinions differ, but there's NOTHING there for me. The stories about the economic decline of Vegas crack me up and I hope a 100-ft meteor hits the place.
And, oh-by-the-way, I’m talking about the LUXOR here.
