If Germany had never bombed Pearl Harbor we probably would not have involved ourselves until Europe had been totally dominated by Nazi Germany. Yeah, Hitler really screwed up by attacking Pearl Harbor.
And, then, the Nips launched Operation Balballosa against the USSR and that sealed their doom.
