I’ve eaten an overripe persimmon and an underripe persimmon. Neither was very good but believe me, you do not want to eat an underripe persimmon.

I have too. Ripe persimmons are nothing to write home about. They might make good beer.

Under ripe? Talk about pucker factor, WOW!
