We already have a federal police force.

I’d be more concerned about the carrot-and-stick approach:

Washington sends big, shiny Bearcats and other surplus military gear to local and state law enforcement all over the country.

If the force doesn’t use it, or declines to accept it, then that local force doesn’t receive the nice fat check from Washington.

The local police forces aren’t victims-—every one who has accepted the “carrot” from the government has already revealed its ultimate loyalty.

Not one dedicated specifically to address the "problems" of the "folks" on the Democrat plantation, and run directly from the White House.
