So...this selection committee is supposed to disregard the results on the field so as to enact justice off of it? This process would make the Kremlin blush...

I think the selection committee thinks TCU is flat out better on a neutral field than Baylor. If it weren’t for the close, late, ref assisted Baylor win over TCU, Baylor would not be in the top 10 right now.

The biggest concern I’d have if Baylor makes it into the playoff is they take a sort of Seattle Seahawk mentality when it comes to defense. They’re gonna push the limits of pass interference on every play knowing the refs probably aren’t going to call it on every play.
However big time bowl games have shown time and again, especially bowl games with the Big 12, that they will let the cloth fly on that style of play. Leaving Big 12 teams scratching their heads, wondering where all these flags are suddenly coming from.
Case in point, last year Baylor vs UCF. Baylor had 17 penalties for 135 yards. It’s not the blatant stuff, it’s the subtle-every-down stuff that will get them into trouble in a big-time playoff game.
