As that article shows, for people to be able to track their genetic ancestry back 1000 years, you have to assume that the father of each and every child in that tree was the women’s husband.
Something that is at minimum unlikely.
Going back just 500 years and allowing only 3 generations per century, I would have 32,768 maternal ancestors. The chance that ALL of them were virtuous approaches nullity.
