Is it supposed to look just at Pluto or both it and Charon?
Its going to be a high speed pass but they’ll have lots of time to check out the whole system. I believe there are now 5 moons and possible rings.
I just watched a documentary a few days ago. They are looking at Pluto and Charon, Pluto’s other moons, and a few other Kuiper belt objects beyond.
With my luck, it’ll fly into Charon just as it makes its final approach into orbit around Pluto.

At 17:40 GMT on July 15, 2015, NASA’s New Horizons will pass between the orbits of Charon and Nix on its way into deep space, the first close visit to this icy world from an earthly herald. The blue oval at the end is the orbit of Neptune, with the sun in the distance. After New Horizons passes the orbit of Pluto, only the charcoal night side of Pluto faces the camera.
