What a great idea, but I believe you have to be Christian.
“What a great idea, but I believe you have to be Christian.”
I would be surprised if that were true.
I am a born again evangelical Christian, we believe that Christianity is a personal relationship with God through Christ, as such, there is no membership card, secret handshake or special mark separating a Christian from every other member of the human tribe.
I suspect if you reach out to the organization, there will be discussions about issues of morality and values, not what makes you a Christian, there is great debate within the Christian family about that and an organization is going to avoid that like the plague.
If you have to declare yourself a Christian when you in fact are not one, I would consider that a personal moral issue and deal with it as such. If not, unless you have moral issues with associating with Christians you will probably be fine.
Now for your other problems. I am not an expert on Obama care but the following is true to the best of my understanding. If you do not choose Obamacare during open enrollment, you cannot get it until the next open enrollment meaning you may not be able to get a policy regardless of how much cash you have, except for cases of job loss etc. Obamacare is not a policy, it is a network of rules regulating who can provide insurance and when you can buy it so there is really no escape, even your non Obamacare policy is actually part of the system, and the price increases are a way of Obamacare regulating your choices. Unless you are part of a group that has bribed their way out that is.
Good luck, I hope you have some options, you may be stuck with your current policy or not coverage until the next open enrollment. You may be forced to change employment to even have the privilege of buying insurance with your own money. Freedom is great isn’t it.
