A GOP staffer has accused First Daughters Malia and Sasha Obama of classlessness, lashing out at their attire and attitude at the White House turkey pardon.

The girls, aged 16 and 13, prompted playful criticism after scowling at their father, President Barack Obama, as he gave his annual Thanksgiving address on national television.

But Elizabeth Lauten, once a media director for the Republican National Committee, went a step further to call the girls 'classless' and take aim at their short skirts which 'deserve a spot at a bar'

GOP staffer should shut up. Sasha's skirt is a bit too short for my taste. I would have insisted she wear tights I had I the decision power.

Elizabeth Lauten is the one without class. She has a problem with the way they dress? Take it to them quietly, instead of telling the world the girls, 13 and 15, are dressed as bar hoppers.

Lauten should keep her mouth shut.She is inviting more clutter and distraction.

Obama’s policies are disastrous. There’s no reason to distract from that by criticizing his kids.

The media/socialist networking sites refuse to discuss Obama's disastrous policies. That's why we've got news articles about socialist networking site 'outrage' about the lack of black egyptians in the new Exodus movie.

I agree, we should leave the kids out of this. I can understand their being bored with the presentation - look who they have as an “inspiration”. The disappointing thing is the lasting impression of smug indifference the whole family leaves as they tear our traditions apart one by one.

I don't see anything "classless" here. In fact, that's extremely conservative dress for kids these days. This Lauten woman seems like the kind of prig that gives Republicans a bad name.
