If I were a betting person, I would take you on with that wager. The Catholic Church will never approve same-sex genital gratification or same-sex marriage.
What worries me TODAY is not some (actuall impossibele) change in formal doctrine, but the de-facto acceptance of "gay culture" --- basically in two forms:
- Don't-Ask-Don't-Tell, pretending we live on a little island where such things are not noticed or discussed, and
- Church-connected organizations (schools. health services, etc.) which quietly operate by their own rules, and the relevant Church authorities look the other way for years, for decades, forever.
Being "squishy" on discipline is just as destructive as being wrong on doctrine; in some ways, more destructive.
