“Either way, it was justified and he should not have challenged the police.”

He was twelve years old! How much malice could have possibly been in his heart that he willfully meant to “challenge” the police? It doesn’t appear they gave him much time whatsoever to clarify his intent.

I saw this on the news yesterday. There was more to the video. The kid was “playing” out by the street and there was a person sitting in the park who called 911. That person said it looked like it was a fake gun. The 911 operator relayed it as a real gun when speaking to the officer. 911 operator has to be fired, and the cop that shot so quick does too. Looked like he shot without even getting out of his car. In Oklahoma you can’t even shoot a deer from your pickup, much less a person.....

It used to be said that if you cannot shoot a 13yo mugger with a knife, you probably should not carry.
Now that age is 10. Did you see the gun?
