They will be after Texas beats TCU. :-)
Right.
It seems you all are forgetting that the components that make up the CFP voters rankings contain “Good Losses” and “Bad Losses.” TCU managed to lose to a Top 10 team, on the road, with putrid (Randy Christal) officiating, by 2 on a last-second field goal after leading the whole game. Baylor was annihilated in Morgantown by WVU, never led, and wound up losing by two touchdowns. Hence, Baylor has a “Bad” loss, while TCU has a “Good” loss.
Add to this the fact that the teams Baylor plays this season, when not ‘Incarnate Word’ level programs, have already been beaten to a pulp by the Horned Frogs (with the notable exception of WVU). Even K-State, their remaining “quality opponent” was curb-stomped in Fort Worth already. TCU played those “quality opponents” (like OU) when they had something to play for, and not when they had two losses and a rash of injuries like Baylor. Not an ‘apple-apple’ comparison.
As to OSU, please. Either team beats OSU. By the same criteria listed above, OSU shouldn’t be above Baylor. At all. Neither should Miss-St.
We shall see. As for myself, I would enjoy seeing the Horned Frogs triumph in the Rose Bowl once again!
