A man who told Cleveland police a member of Johnny Manziel’s entourage assaulted him early Saturday has a criminal record involving alcohol and fighting, according to court records.

The Sandusky Municipal Court’s website shows Christopher Gonos, 33, has been convicted of the following misdemeanors over the past 13 years:
An assault on Dec. 3, 2001
A citation for an open flask of alcohol on July 4, 2002
Public intoxication on Nov. 23, 2002
Disorderly conduct on Aug. 18, 2005
Disorderly conduct and obstructing official business on July 1, 2006

Gonos also was convicted last year on a federal charge of structuring financial transactions to avoid filing currency transaction reports, according to the Sandusky Register.

He was sentenced to two years of probation, fined $1,000, and ordered to submit to regular substance abuse treatment and testing, according to federal court records.
