My dad’s Jimmy had push button 4WD. Whomever came up with that stupid idea should be shot.
And yes, the solenoid fried and took all of the wiring with it. My dad was stuck with 2WD (three winters) until he could afford to get it repaired.
The transfer case on my old blazer is stuck in low range and I haven’t gotten around to it. Just as well since it is a back building tractor. If someone bothered to steal it, a good jogger can keep up with it.
