9 or 90, Mr. Scotti should please STFU. Now his family finds out Grampa was a pimp, a panderer, a procurer, and a bagman. Nice goin’ on the legacy thing, Old-Timer!

“a panderer, a procurer, and a bagman”

Scotti’s job position was facility manager of the production facility for NBC, so Scotti’s normal and customary job duties included personally maintain the privacy of the performing artist in his dressing room. Bill Cosby is far from being the first celebrity to include such personal attention to the privacy of their dressing room by a rider on their contract. Bill Cosby took full advantage of such practices. So, there is no evidence within Scotti’s disclosures which warrant an accusation of pandering for Bill Cosby simply because Scotti guarded Bill Cosby’s dressing room when he was visited by females.

There is not evidence in these disclosures which would indicate Scotti procured women for Bill Cosby. On the contrary, the disclosures indicate Bill Cosby used the women’s own talent agents to procure the women for Bill Cosby’s attentions. This circumstance is a major red flag, especially with respect for young women who were regarded as minors. Talent agents are supposed to behave more like a nurse in a doctor’s office by chaperoning women in the presence of a male celebrity performer and/or prospective employer.

Scotti quit Bill Cosby because of his uneasiness about being commanded by Bill Cosby to act as Cosby’s agent in handling payments to the women for undisclosed purposes. Unfortunately for Scotti, such extraordinary methods of making cash payments to the women may have been not immediately provable as an illegal act or misconduct, yet also could have left Scotti vulnerable to charges of being an accessory to a crime Scotti was unaware was being committed. In other words, Bill Cosby put Scotti between a rock and a hard place with not enough information to know whether the activity warranted forfeiting his career and livelihood as an employee of NBC. A facility manager is sometimes reasonably expected to handle certain occasional disbursements of cash and checks on behalf of a celebrity, but Bill Cosby took unfair advantage of this customar practice to command the disbursements in questionable circumstances. So, Scotti’s normal and customary job duties may have put him in a situation where he would be unable to refuse to perform the disbursement of the payments witout his employer, NBC, accusing Scotti of disobedience for false and frivolous reasons.
