Nicely reasoned, but I don’t entirely agree with you. Having spent a few of my young years in and around Ho-wood, and having been to a few Ho-wood parties, I know for a fact that women throw themselves at celebrities. They don’t have to be coaxed or lied to or fooled in any way. They WANT TO BE KNOWN as Star F****RS, another star, another notch in their belts, or whatever gets notched. It’s a competition. They are not victims.

Remember the “Groupies” that followed rock stars in the ‘60s and ‘70s? It was an “honor” to be the guy’s “lady” that night and for as many nights as she could hold his interest.

Sooooo, Cosby might be the worst jerk in the world, perhaps he raped, pillaged and plundered sweet young things, but FOR SURE he didn’t have any problem whatsoever finding women — gorgeous women —eager to jump in the sack with him each and every night of the week and brag about it the next day.

I remember reading Shirley Jone’s autobiography, and she detailed how she and her then husband -Jack Cassidy - would attend numerous parties at the home of Sammy Davis Jr., and how he had cocaine all lined up for his guests when they arrived. Hollywood is a depraved, evil place.

“I know for a fact that women throw themselves at celebrities.”

I agree with you there have always been women who throw themselves at celebrities and are willing participants in the system. Cosby and others likely have no problem finding willing participants in their sexual escapades. However, when the free candy is no longer enough to satisfy the appetite, and the fun loving personality becomes a violent and manipulative predator, the fun becomes one sided and a power trip. The use of force and power to compel behavior is immoral and often criminal. If the stories about Cosby are true, he crossed the line.

I believe this too. Some women will do anything for fame and fortune - and no star lacks groupies who are willing to lay down for them. I’m not saying they are lying, I’m just wondering why he would have to drug and rape anyone given his power, fame and money. However, maybe it is a sick game he plays. I don’t know, but I was thinking earlier that during “The Cosby Show,” he played a doctor. Not just a run of the mill general practitioner, but an OB/GYN. If these allegations are true, it seems he’s still playing “doctor.”
