I don’t have TV and had never seen a commercial for it. I was in the library looking for a movie to rent and just happened by it. I’d never heard of the author and about halfway through it I thought, “this must be based on science fiction from the 19th century” because of the way things worked. That made it rather intriguing.

I think the reason I liked it was I expected very little and was pleasantly surprised.
