Not really gross but definitely meager.
I like tater tots, corn dogs and apples.
I saw this “trending” on FB.
It’s got some impetus.
Nice to see Calipha MooseChelle getting some flak from the masses.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
When it comes to class, style, elegance and beauty, it is Sophia.
Went with some of our kids for their Thanksgiving “lunch” at school today, and that had to be the most pathetic excuse for “food” I’ve ever seen! I wouldn’t give that shit to a POW, or a dog! Dammed hospital food is better!!! This was also for their Thanksgiving lunch!!! This is probably better than the norm! All of the breads were wheat bread, which is disgusting, IMO. The “meat” tasted like it had never been alive, and the “vegetables” tasted likewise. Dammed people in prisons probably eat better!
I’m pretty sure we’re going to start packing their lunches from now on....
After experiencing this, I couldn’t help but to recall the condescending, almost arrogant letter we got from our school Superintendent last year at the end of school because one of our kids owed $3.50 in unpaid lunch money. He went on and on in the letter about how they deliver great nutritious foods for the students, and we were basically low lifes for having an unpaid balance. (at least we PAY FOR IT, unlike most others)Hate that bastard. He’s probably an 0bamunist.
And HERE is what OUR SCHOOL is having!
Monday: Creole Spaghetti, candied sweet potatoes, celery sticks, fruit cobbler, milk.
Tuesday: Meat loaf and catsup, buttered potatoes, green beans, carrot sticks, creamed fruit, milk.
Wednesday: Pizza, whole kernel corn, peanut butter and crackers, ice cream cups, milk.
Thursday: Turkey, macaroni salad, french fries, garden peas, cake with topping, cheese stick, milk.
Friday:Hot tuna bun sandwiches, pork and beans, lettuce salad, cookies, milk.
OH WAIT! This is from 50 years ago on March 25, 1965!
Shut up and eat your gruel!
That looks like something I cleaned out of a diaper.
What caught my attention was the whole apple on the tray. We received a quarter of an apple in elementary and a half an apple in high school. I don’t think we would have eaten a whole piece of fruit anyway as recess was calling. Think I will save the picture of the mush and anytime my homeschooled kids aren’t happy with lunch I’ll show them just how bad it could be!
Nanny State PING!
