IS EVERYONE HERE MISSING MY POINT?

YOU CAN CHANGE BACK TO VOTE *TWO YEARS FROM NOW* IN THE GOP PRIMARY *TWO YEARS FROM NOW* IF YOU WANT TO, IF THE GOP HAS TURNED INTO SOMETHING WORTH VOTING FOR AGAIN

BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO *TODAY* THAT WILL SEND SOME SIGNALS?

WHAT CAN YOU DO *NOW* TO ENCOURAGE THEM TO STOP BEING DEMOCRAT-LITE?

For one thing, even if everyone changes their registration TODAY, it will take several months for this to show up in the Secretary of State's websites. These changes are not recorded overnight, and they are only reported quarterly or less.

Secondly, sorry, but way too many people will forget to change their registration back to Republican. And, if you are going around telling everyone that they can change it back in 2 years, then you let the cat out of the bag and it becomes a fake protest.

I agree it is best to hold their feet to the fire by phone calls, faxes, e-mails, tweets, or whatever. Also, it is important for interested parties to come out from behind their computers and help out with precinct walking and phone banking. Also, please stop screaming at everyone.

The GOPe doesn’t care if they are the second place party. I have seen numerous posts about FReepers telling off RNC fundraisers for years, yet it does no good. OK, I get your point, but considering the GOP leadership at the federal level, they don’t care if you drop your registration. To them, that is a an excuse for them to move more to the left to try to pick up more of Gruber’s idiots.
