Bicyclist arrested after trying to order Taco Bell in drive-through

A drunken New Smyrna Beach bicyclist whose drive-through order at Taco Bell was rejected because he wasn't in a car refused to leave the restaurant then tussled with police, according to an arrest report.
Gabriel Harris, 33, was charged with resisting an officer with violence in the late-night incident and was out of the Volusia County Branch Jail on $1,000 bail, records show.

No bikees , no walkees because they haven't got a chance against a car, anybody that's observed the way people drive will understand.

No bikees , no walkees because they haven't got a chance against a car, anybody that's observed the way people drive will understand. I call BS on this one.
There are many, many fast food places in "diverse" neighborhoods which close the inside dining area at sundown and all customers must use the drive-up window.
This is for employee safety.

apparently, there is greater liability for those not in vehicles while using the drive through... and i also read that bicycles, wheelchairs, scooters, pedestrians do not weigh enough to set off the sensor to let the employees know there is a customer out there... not sure if either of these reasons is true...
